My name is Sarah and I'm thinking about getting a GCC hopefully in the near future. I have worked at a pet store for about 3 years and taking care of and playing with the conures is definitely one of my favorite parts:) I acquired a large cage about a year ago and have slowly been purchasing toys and such when they go on sale at work. The main reason I haven't gotten one yet is because I go away for a couple weeks each year around the holidays (typically thankgsiving and new years) and every once in a while (rarely) during the summer and am not sure who I could find(or trust) to watch a bird for me. But enough of that lol. I've been browsing this site hoping to find some information on breeders. I would prefer to have a parent raised but well socialized (held and played with) conure and I've been looking for a pineapple GCC because they've always been my favorite, but cant seem to find any reputable breeders in my area who don't pull the babies from the nest in the first couple weeks to handfeed:/ Just hoping maybe someone on here could give me some tips!
