New here

Postby Sammy01 » Fri Aug 30, 2013 10:54 am

Hey, I just thought I'd introduce myself. I am currently caring for two white fronted amazons (only the male is mine). We're not sure how old the female is, but she's been with us for about two years.

The male is a sweet heart (he's about 4 months) that loves to be hand fed (seed by seed, apples cut to little pieces, etc) and climbing backwards (his back to the bars in a corner). I think he loves getting in trouble because of the extra attention he gets. He also likes eating his treats out of his cage (he'll climb out with a peanut in his beak so he can eat it at the top of his cage).

The female is more calm. She just likes to stand around and watch. She prefers to be outside in her cage wolf whistling.

I'm currently feeding them fresh fruits and veggies everyday instead of pellets. They seem to prefer the fresh food diet, so I'm just careful that I'm giving them the right stuff so they stay healthy.
