Aspiring Parrot Owner

Postby Dbeguy » Mon Sep 09, 2013 10:25 am

26 year old graduate student here, planning FAR in advance for a feathery charge.

Most interested in African Grey for a few reasons.
1) have had positive experiences with a friend's Grey. I got 'Otie' to stop biting very quickly and earned her trust.
2) I relish the opportunity to engage an African Grey's intelligence. Its been satisfying trying to devise foraging toys for Otie and seeing how long it takes for her to crack it.
3) I think that I can read Otie and African grey's better in general due to their light irises.

Hopefully these are valid reasons to desire a particular species rather than "for fashion"
I'll probably be lurking around the DIY section trying to pick your brains on possible toys. :D

Sounds good. African Greys are said to be the best talkers, ya know. And they live forever!
