Hi, my name is Jan and I live in rural Victoria, Australia. I recently added Stanley, the lutino Princess Parrot to our menagerie of animals. The breeder I got him from clipped his wings even though that's not what I asked for and I'm not a fan. It was a hard clip, with poor Stanley just starting to fly when it was done and when he tried he would hit the ground hard, nearly flying backwards..
He's just moulting everywhere now and one wing has 3-4 new feathers, but the other is way behind. Is that normal? Also, we were away recently with him being bird sat by my in laws and when I returned I noticed poor Stanley had torn one of his first flight feathers out and there was blood on the wing but no blood in his cage so I'm assuming it didn't bleed heaps, my main question is will that feather grow back? Hope someone can help
