Change in character ,hand reared senegal

Postby corky1 » Wed Jan 08, 2014 1:19 pm

Hi everybody my name is Graham ,me and my wife Margaret have a lovely Senegal we got about two years ago he has been very good most of the time. Like most we have had the odd nip and he is very cheeky and confident, but just recently he has started to bite aggressively and we cant understand why , we can usually read him by his eyes, but even when I am petting him he ambushes me and strikes with venom and bites .What are we doing wrong ?

What you are doing wrong is treating him like a baby when he's really going through adolescence and terrible twos. As a baby, he did whatever you wanted because he was naive and that's how baby birds are. From here on forward you're gonna have to give him a good reason to be cooperative with what you want.

There are a plethora of Senegal, Biting, and Training articles on this site which you can find in the index.
