Yes he had a macaw that he adopted when it was 18 years old and he had to give it to a macaw rescue/bird sanctuary because it was so abused he would attack everyone and fly right at your face especially if you picked up a broom to sweep the floor. He would start screaming and not stop so that lead us to believe he was beat with the broom or a stick that resembled a broom handle. The macaw was too dangerous to be around people, so the macaw rescue said they would adopt him and let him live out his years in their bird sanctuary. We still visit him and he is doing so much better. He was so excited when I gave him Harley but the bird has taken to me and not him. But we talked about it and he is just happy that Harley was removed from the poor conditions he was in. We live together so he see's Harley every day and talks to him and plays with him.
(I rescue a lot of birds out of poor conditions because they deserve a great life)
