Hello from NYC

Postby DoubleTrouble » Wed Feb 19, 2014 11:35 am

I own two quakers, my ''double trouble'' :monk: :monk: gang (rescues  )
when I first got them they were terrified of everything
I left them alone with their cage door open for 2 days.
They soon began to adventure around and few out the cage :D
but they show no interested in me or clicker training, or any type of treats.
they let me pet them in the cage sometimes, but most of the time they try to bite me

someone help? ;)

Welcome DoubleTrouble!

I would start with the Parrot Wizard's Taming and Training guidehttp://trainedparrot.com/Taming/ and work from there. A lot of our members have experience with Quaker parrots :quaker: , so they can offer specific instructions.

Good luck!

LOL- Nothing different from any other parrot in terms of training them. They are just a bit louder and a touch more cantankerous than other species but nothing that cannot be won over with patience and love.
