Hello from Kansas

Postby blackangel4009 » Sat Mar 15, 2014 11:15 am

I recently purchased a Lilac crowned Amazon and It should be flying home on Wednesday. I am so nervous and my stomach is in a knot.....I guess I will settle down when my my feathered baby is with me. Has anyone ever had a bird shipped before and if so how do you make it a pleasant adjustment for your feathered friend and yourself??? :rainbow:

No. For one thing, I've never bought a baby bird (I rescue or adopt) and, for another, I always pick up in person, shipping is too stressful and dangerous for my peace of mind.

Yea I felt that way as well but they have been wonderful about keeping me posted on her(Justice's) Daily activities so its like I am there with her. And She is Flying in and its a non-stop flight so it should be rather quick for her. But thanks for the concerns :swaying:

Michael the Parrot Wizard had his Cape Parrot shipped to him as a baby. He described his experience in his blog at http://trainedparrot.com/index.php?bid=5&article=Bringing+Home+New+Cape+Parrot

Good Luck!
