Hello everyone!!!

I'm from Eagle, Mi. I recently acquired a 10yo male african timneh, Gabriel. His previous owner (a friend of mine) had him for 2yrs and they DID NOT get along. His owner before that had him since a baby and had to rehome him. From the first day I met him, we clicked. My friend finally had enough and offered him to me. He had never said a word in 10 yrs till he came to me! And he started talking instantly. He has never offered to bite me and we snuggle everyday! He is my buddy. He still will not let anyone else touch him or hold him and if they try he will nail them and laugh! :-0
I even recently got to experience "sharing his regurgitation". That was interesting and I wasn't sure how to respond to it. I have only had him about a month now. Before Gabriel, I had a Blue and Gold macaw that I was purchasing from a pet store I worked at. Same type of situation. The bird ONLY bonded to me and would SCREAM when I left work. He was my boy! His name was Regan. Unfortunely when the store closed, I received a phone call only that I had no job and my dear Regan was gone. I couldn't find him or anyone that knew anything. I haven't owned a bird since until Gabriel.
I look forward to sharing stories and advise.
