Hello
I live in Dubai and i am new here and im 14. I used to have a budgie and it died at age of 17 cause of cotton intake for it's rope perch and he was a family bird.we also used to have a pair of loverbirds but the reason for thier death is unkown. I have a 1 yr old Cockatiel that knows how step up and fly to it's cage on command my mom helped me.I'm planning to get a galah cockatoo or a macaw and does anyone know a rescue centre over here. I do have time. School won't get in the way.my mom is a teacher and the school made apartments and whoever works there can live for free with no bills they handle it and they allow me to go in break . Every 1:2 house has a parrot in my neighborhood. But my the ones close to me have African Grey's an irn so noise won't be a bother. I do have enough money I know the price for everything including toys cage food and vet care. and i met both a macaw and a galah actually many.so any suggestions I really like the macaw but I want the cheapest breed(like a b&g or scarlet basically not a mini)
Thanksssssssss!!!!

I can't help you with your question, just wanted to welcome you to the forum. A large bird like a macaw is quite a jump from the birds that you are accustomed to My biggest concern would be the bites as they could be pretty serious. Some of them can bite through a chain link fence. Just be careful to pay attention to their body language and back off rather than risk a bite. good luck.

Yeah I got bitten 7 times and they were nasty! My mom will tame it to stop biting and aggressiveness and some sessions with me then leave the rest to me.
