Introduction

Hi, I came across this forum while doing some research on parrots.

I have three budgies currently; Crystal, Jet and Mikey. However, I am currently reading up on other parrot species as I've been considering adding a larger parrot, to my flock.

My name is Erin and I'm 28 years old and live near Edmonton, Alberta in Canada.

I had my first pet bird at 7 years old (A budgie named Tweety) followed by another budgie, named Eddie. Also, when I first got Crystal, I had a budgie named Solange (later renamed Jesse after a gender identity confusion lol) but unfortunately she passed at 9 months old due to what the vet thought was a bad kidney.

In short, and to end this intro because I can't think of anything of interest to say, I love birds and am looking forward to learning more about the various parrots that I love, and others who share my enthusiasm for these awesome animals.

Welcome, I am so glad that you found us. Now that you are here you can share with us all kinds of things like amusing stories about you and your birds, useful stuff like how you get your birds to dance for you or to do tricks or to not fix its own meal on your plate while you are eating it. I am sure that you will think of things, and please don't forget pictures! We all love pictures. I have this annoying habit of looking at the pictures in great detail, sitting back and sagely stroking my beard for a moment or two and then typing with great authority " Nice bird".

Wolf, do you know if there are any rules on posting photos of my budgies, so I know ahead of time?

(ie... limiting the number of photos per post, and that kind of thing?). Thank you.

As far as I know the only restriction on pictures is the size of picture file that the forum will accept. I am not sure what size that is but I would think that it will be somewhere in the range of 500 kb, that size is pretty standard.

Not a restriction per say, but the forum will cut off pictures that are wider than 500pixels I think, so you want to resize them for that!
