I grew up with my mom's yellow-collared macaw and offered to take the little guy in. He has minor surgery on Monday to fix the abscess and remove his cannula (feeding tube) but is eating like a champ and doing very well. He's currently 5 weeks old and eating 60ccs of formula every six hours.

I let my mom name him since she recently lost our yellow collared macaw Heathcliff to cancer at age 45 due to cancer.
As an aside, I put "no" for flight since he's still a baby and cant walk on his own let alone fly (duh). But I fully intend to keep him a BIRD and when he's ready he'll be in the air
