My name is Shana and I'm a past bird owner who is starting to get back into the bird world!
As a teenager, I raised parakeets and finches, and owned many different types of birds like lovebirds, conures, yellow fronted amazons and "birdsat" many others for friends.
After my divorce, where I gave custody of our conure to my ex, I retired from the bird world.
However, God has intervened and brought a parakeet back into my life, and reignited my love and desire for feathered babies.
When I was young, the internet did not exist, so I had no community to interact with and learn from, so I'm very excited to be joining in here!
My dream is to own a TIMNEH AFRICAN GREY one day, so I'm here to learn all I can about this beautiful breed!

Welcome Shana! I also kept birds before the internet, but had stopped because the DVMs said there was nothing they could do for a sick feathered friend. Fortunately, that has changed.
