I've already posted and some of you have already responded (so fast
My name's Lenin's Grave (the name of my very first cockatiel that I kept for 10 years; you may see that I was pretty creative with names at 12 years old lol), and I am proud to have the company of Billy the Cyclone, a 1 year-old Quaker Parrot found as a baby on the ground by an acquaintance who gave him to me, and paraplegic as a result of falling from his nest; and Birdy, my recently adopted Blue-Crowned Conure from a neglecting home.
I believe that parrots are very inteligent and loving creatures and that they must be treated and cared for like children. I read Dr. Irene Pepperberg works and articles and almost cried some years ago when I learned about Alex's death. I am very respectful with parrot's needs and when they say "I'm tired of this" (Birdy gently moves my finger away with his beak when he's had enough lol) I say "you wanna go back?" and put him back in his cage or in a play-ground. I don't force him to go out neither, I call him and if he doesn't want to come out (most of the times he wants) I leave the cage open with the play-ground near the door.
I hope to learn a lot from you guys and to share my experiences and help as well
