My dear, CML is 100% correct. No good breeder would sell at a bird fair, expo or whatever you want to call it. The good ones have waiting lists for their babies and no need or time to waste sitting at a fair all day long trying to sell their babies. If you have your heart set on buying a baby (I still recommend adopting), at least buy from a good breeder and don't handfeed yourself. I cannot begin to tell you how many postings there are of people who thought they could do it and ended up killing the bird or having to rush it to a vet clinic with crop burn or yeast infection. It's not like feeding a bottle to a puppy. And, again, no good breeder would make such an offer. Good breeders hand-feed, abundantly wean and socialize the baby bird themselves and only sell it to people after the bird can eat on its own.
