Hello from UK

Postby Bongoboy » Fri Aug 01, 2014 7:39 am

Hello

My name is Kieran and i am the proud new owner of a Black Headed Caique named Bongo!

while i am used to having parrots at home due to my family owning a Red Lored Amazon this is the first time ive owned a parrot myself.

Im hope that the forum will be able to help me with many concerns or questions i have about the little guy.

its his second day home and hes 12 weeks old.

When i got him from the breeder i didnt expect him to be even a tenth as tame as he was he has happily hopped onto mine and my girlfirends hand without a care in the world and seems to have settled into his new home just fine.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, babies are always tame so no surprise there. Please make sure you are offering, at least, two kinds of soft food fresh twice a day. He is still a baby and needs the extra nutrition.

Hi Kieran,

Congratulations on your new baby! Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will have mostly (if not all) of your questions answered here. The folks here are quite knowledgeable and very friendly.
Looking forward to hearing how Bongo progressed.
