Hello All

I am new to the ParrotForum. I have had parrots for 4 years and have been looking for a forum such as this one, so I am super excited about the info and advice I will receive. I have a Congo African Grey , Socrates, he is super fresh and will only mimic myself and two year old daughter. I also have a Catalina Macaw whom I have had for 3 years. I am on a mission to improve and rebuild my relationships with both of them , as it has been very difficult to spend time with them with my two year old around as well as until recently I have been working 50+ hours a week. My biggest challenge at the moment is with my macaw, she seems to enjoy throwing her weight around like an unruly adolescent and when she is out of her cage she thinks she makes the rules. My next biggest challenge is with my African Grey, I hand fed him and reared him until he figured out I was pregnant ( swear he knew before I did) now he is very intolerant of me and will bite me as soon as he is given the chance. So again I look forward to getting to know fellow bird lovers and getting advice on these issues and others.

Hi larcher09,
It is wonderful to meet you. I too am working on rebuilding a relationship with my severe macaw named Lady. I have already learned quite a bit here and am very glad as well to of found such helpful folks who are great at giving guidance and information.
