Wolf, being in does cause blood loss. When Myrtle was trying to make me leave Rambo alone I had to fight back. I only had one bloody day but I a sure it was jealousy. The first bite that started the thread of She Bit Me was when she was on my shoulder and I picked Rambo up off the floor. I really wish he would fly.

She's been better today, but she's definitely hormonal. She was on my shoulder and saw her reflection in the mirror. She usually ignores her reflection, but today she bit me hard on the ear as soon as she saw it.

The only female parrot I have right now is Gaugan the 17 year old Red Belly. When she gets hormonal, I never get bit, but others need to be cautious. I play fight with my parrots with my fingers using a clucking sound. When Guagan is hormonal I make her a lot of good chewable toys and play fight with her a lot. She will make the clucking sound, when she wants to play fight too. That helps her to be less grouchy with other people. She usually gets more mushy when she is hormonal too.

I have often thought the Parrots song would be. "if you cant bite the one you want, then bite the one youre with, bite the one youre with."

She saw a bird in the mirror that was, in your opinion, competition for your love so she 'warned' you not to pay attention to it. Mine is not broody at all... my grays are but not Codee.

Why she sees me coming now, she struts and puffs her cheeks out. She only used to do that for my son.

Gaugan will fly to the floor and peck the toes of anyone approaching a parrot she is jealous of. It is amazing how this litttle parrot can scare so many people, when she does this they will shuffle backwards, so she scares them away from the other parrot.

I don't know what that first line is. My laptop has been dropping words and rearanging them.

I didn't either, but it was nothing to be concerned with, I am sure, probably just part of a thought.
