So today I was on the phone with my daughter for quite a while. Apparently the bird didn't like this, because she flew onto my shoulder and started biting me, everywhere, hard. Little brat.

She's been biting a lot. The only thing I can see that is different is the amount of attention she's getting. She doesn't wake up until 7 and she's been going to bed between 3 and 4. There just aren't as many waking hours in the day. In the summer she'll be with me a lot more, simply because she is awake more.

I wonder if with the shorter days now if the amount of protein in her diet might not need to be reduced a little. Of course that may not have anything to do with it either. I really don't know.
Kookooloo, my Grey hates remote controls and phones and will attack me if she sees one of them in my hand.

This is Tanya. She came to visit today. Hopefully my adoption of her will be approved in the next few days. I have a cage for her, but not yet one I'm really happy with.

I know that Tanya has some major mobility issues, but since you are speaking of finding a cage for her, I am curious, does she climb on wire cages?

She cannot climb. She will be a ground bird. I have ordered a ferret cage. It will give her a lot of floor space, and if her mobility improves some she might be able to climb the ramps to the upper platforms.

She will have a memory foam floor in her cages. The foam is wrapped in plastic and then in fleece. Because of her liver problems, she bruises easily and can't stay a long time on a hard surface or bars.

Thanks, since I have the opportunity, through you, I am trying to learn about Tanya and what life is like with a bird that has the issues that she does. I hope you don't mind.
