I was thinking that she didn't get enough sleep last night. My daughter had some friends over and they were loud. That's why I put her in her cage and covered her.

She also hears water running in the kitchen and wants to go out there, but she can't. She seems to get frustrated by things like that.

It seems like she's mad about being caged yesterday.

I don't like toweling but when it is time for her to go back if someone else grabs her with a towel and puts her back she will not hold it against you and it will save a little blood.

Tanya seems more comfortable in a towel than just being held. I found this out accidentally trying to dry her off after a bath.

I don't think Ocean has ever been toweled. The don't towel her for blood draws at the vet.

Tanya's vet appointment for today was canceled. They were afraid that the samples wouldn't get to the lab in time due Christmas.

Better start my shopping.

When she hears the running water, is it possible that she want to bathe? I can understand her not wanting to be caged and it is pretty much a normal thing. The only thing that seems to help with Kiki is to give her a almond, but it doesn't always work. She does however forgive me most of the time. When you headed back towards her cage she was afraid that you were going to lock her in it. I have to place Kiki in or on top of her cage without closing the door on a daily basis for her to remain convinced that my approaching the cage with her does not mean being locked in it. It kind of is a balancing act all of its own. I am not surprised at the amount of damage they can do as I get the same from Kiki who weighs about 150 grams and all she wants is to be on me and involved with whatever I am doing at the moment. I understand that you were thinking that she was probably tired and grumpy and needing a nap, but you can't count on them looking at things the way that we do, we have to try to look at things the way that they do and it ain't always easy to do. All you can do is the best you can at the time and go on from there.

She bit me again this morning. Came out of the cage, went to get the food with me, like normal, and then started biting the heck out of my neck. And I can't get her off me. She grips well enough that I can't push her off. I end up having to take my shirt off and she goes with it.

She just flew out in to the kitchen; landed in the floor. I picked her up off the floor and she bit me in 6 different places, drawing blood each time.

She's going to have to be caged all day, too, as people are coming over for Christmas stuff. If she's biting me she can't be trusted with anyone else.

I even tried putting my hood up to protect my neck. She went around it and bit my face. Mostly she got my hands and wrists.
