I wouldn't care about when it is officially too cold, I would keep trying to get my bird. I would camp out under her if I had too so that she knows that I am there. If you want her you can't give up or leave her once you find her again, either remain there yourself of have someone that she knows remain if you must leave, just don't give up or leave her alone.
