Yes exactly. Before Sheikh Zayed united us in 1971, we were known as the Trucial States. Now there are 7 emirates, each ruled by a different royal family; Abudhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. Abudhabi is the capital and home to our president Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Well there's something I didn't know haha. About Emirates, thanks for that!!
Alya I really hope you get to pursue your dream of becoming a vet, but even if things don't turn up like that you still have a lot of passion and love for animals! Maybe even create a bird sanctuary? :amazon: I know it sounds like I'm talking crazy but who knows haha.

Really, I wish you the best of luck and I'm sure you will find a wonderful bird companion!
Everyone likes birds. What creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world?

If you love parrots and can manage it, I would try to go visit your neighbor country, Qatar, where they have the Al Wabra Wildlife Preserve. This is a conservation center for species that are either extinct or in dire danger of extinction in the wild and they have the largest population of Spinx macaws (they have been artificially inseminating them in the last couple of years in order to keep the species alive) I would LOVE to visit there!

You're very welcome to come, i'm sure ull love it. The weather is starting to cool, so it will soon be a very good time to visit. I actually heard about the Spinx macaws only a couple of days ago. I wish i can go, but i cannot travel alone. We have preserves here too, and we're planning a family trip once the weather becomes tolerable :D

I most definitely would love it but I no longer take vacations because of the parrots. I only go to visit family and then, my husband stays behind to care for them.
