He only has a tiny bald spot, for a lutino, so that's great.

Meet Lemon, the 5 month old lutino!
Don't know it's sex yet, as I just got it yesterday, and it hasn't had it's adult molt yet. They claimed it was a male, but it's behavior seems female. We shall see as it gets more comfortable here. I'll just keep calling it a him until then haha

Lemon is a skittish fellow so I've clipped his wings, just until I've tamed him, then I'll let him free fly.

I've already got him stepping up, and he isn't bothering to nip me anymore. I gave him a bath, as he seemed dirty, and he loved it. I don't think he was introduced to baths, misting, fresh foods, or trained to step up...they claimed they socialized him, I don't think they did, but I'm fixing all that. He's very intelligent from what I see, and too danged cute haha...I'm very happy.

Welcome to the forum! It sounds to me like you pretty well have it together except the clipping, although we can't all agree on everything all of the time, I reckon.

Yes, I also don't believe in clipping them to speed up the taming process. It was a common procedure and some people still use it but I would much rather the bird chose to be with me because he learn that I can be trusted than force it but welcome to the forum and he is a good looking bird! I would not go by behavior to determine the gender in a five month old bird, they are not sexually developed yet so the gender-specific behaviors are not yet present.

Welcome, Lady Tiel and Lemon! It's good that you plan to let Lemon fly when his feathers grow back out. I know my bird, who was clipped when I got her, was very happy when she regained flight capability. I am sure Lemon will be, too.
