You can NOT feed your gray a mix of vegetables he has never seen or eaten before and expect it to eat it because, for one thing, as far as the bird is concerned, those things are not food and, for another, he doesn't even trust you to be near him much less your judgment as to what is good to eat and what is not. Parrots are NOT instinctual eaters, they need to learn and, in order for this to happen, you need to slowly and gradually teach/convince/get him used to the new food. That's why you need to transition it from seeds to grains that are cooked al dente -because grains look and feel like seeds only grains are lower in oil and protein and, when you cook them, you not only make them more digestible, you also infuse them with moisture which is healthier for parrots kidneys in the long run. So, please stop improvising and follow the instructions I gave you or your bird will lose weight and get weak!
Not feeding him something he identifies as food is not endearing you in his eyes and you need to win him/her over if, for nothing else, because the poor baby is suffering all alone and scared and, now, on top of everything else, starving!
And try using a cockatiel mix instead of just sunflowers.
