Welcome to the forum. Not many people have so many birds, I would guess that you don't have a lot of time for anything other than these birds.

hello well unfortunately when registering I was limited to how many birds I keep. My flock are Green winged Macaw, severe macaw, Hahn's macaw. Three Orange winged amazons (one Blind) African Grey, Golden mantled Pair, 4 Ringnecks, female Bara band or superb parrot, One pair of Sun conures plus one male, Three Senegal parrot's, one pair of Australian King parrots. one blue crowned conure, one pair of Blue throated conures, one maroon bellied conure, male and female fiery shouldered conures, One green cheek conure, a pair of pineapple conures, one pair plus one male pennants, one pair red bellied parakeets, one pair of plumb heads, parrolet's, one pair of lineola or Barred parakeets, one red rump one pair plus two female clown parrots, one pair of turquoise parakeets, eleven cockatiels and nine budgies, I also have a pair of gouldian finches a pair of Bengals and twelve zebra, most live together in my bird room and fly freely together. I have a long experience with birds and behaviour even free flying, I give advice and rescue birds and also have some birds that are what I call companion birds for lonely elderly that I have not counted. they include finches, budgies, cockatiels. I was into Owl's ect going back and free flying for display but started having parrots and never looked back. Owing to a mix up and a miss understanding, my name is the same as the founder of the parrot society and owing to that reason I was asked to breed certain birds that are no longer on the endangered list, that introduced me to the parrot family.

Well that certainly explains why I could not shake the feeling that your name was familiar to me, although I could not recall why this should be so. So any way welcome to the forum and feel free to jump right in and start asking and answering questions. Most of the time it is usually Pajarita and myself answering questions and I would frankly welcome someone else with some knowledge to share. This, however, doesn't mean that we would always agree, because we don't. We are always open to debate and to learning more as we feel that we just can't know enough about these wonderful birds.

My Lord! How in the world do you keep all of them clean and fed? I don't even ask about happy because, obviously, there is no way on this green earth that you can possibly interact with them but I don't have anywhere near as many birds and I spend, at least, 5 hours a day working for them - and most of them don't even live in cages!

You are correct as I do not interact with all of them. Some are breeders and they have their partners I spend a lot of time socializing each bird as part of the flock My interaction with them is regular but normally with a few birds at a time. I only sleep for a few hour's a day (if I am lucky) but i will also guarantee they are a happy flock. cleaning is a nightmare if I get held up from my planed scheduled and trying to play catch up. The most demanding member is my (Jackie JJ Green winged macaw) but she accepts me interacting and playing with my other members it is not unusual to have up to ten members on me getting attention and sharing me. My Claude will protect the zebra finches when nesting and that is normally in his food bowl but he as most of my flock have a friend and Claude's is my May (fiery shouldered Female. Mays Partner is Ernie and Ernie's best friend is George and me and so it goes for a real mix up one happy family . My Beryl a male ringneck has Lucky Blue crowned conure as his best friend in the flock and so on

Ah, well, that makes sense. Only a breeder or a rescue would have that many birds although they are, of course, at opposite ends of the bird keeping spectrum.
