No, Liz, as much as you love them and they might learn to trust you, you are not part of their flock - and I doubt they are a flock, yet. It's way too soon (I hope you are not putting them all together without quarantine). One needs to be ever vigilant not to read birds behaviors through the pink glass of what we want to see... it's a dangerous thing to do as we make way too many mistakes.

Please let us know what the vet says about the tiel with seizures, what tests were done and what were the results. This is going to cost you a pretty penny (I calculate around $500) so kudos to you for taking in such an expensive and high maintenance bird!

It was 9 pm before the birds stopped calling each other. Amos and Andy where in the front of the van and the others in the back. Then they complained until 10.

I don't see a thing wrong with Amos. He chattered to me when I first got him home. He and Andy are two beautiful birds. Both sing. Andy hangs from the top of the cage when he sings.

I have the rest of them in my new bird room. I don't have their toys and swings up yet. I will work on that Tuesday. Last night they would not settle down. They kept calling right until dark. Today I found out why. There is a cockatiel loose outside and they are trying to call it in. I can't see it but I heard it in a tall tree in the back yard. I will put a cage out with food and water in it in the morning. I doubt that he will come to me but I can at least feed him.

Oh, poor thing! Try putting Amos and Andy outside for a little while (if the weather permits, of course), their calls might make him come down.

Rescue Me VA is searching for a home for a handicapped cockatiel. He is missing a leg and the others are picking on him. I already have a few handicaps but I am in Florida. Is there anyone in Virginia who can take him?

By the way, Tweet has not had an episode since I have had him.
