About 6 weeks ago we (me and my boyfriend) got a one year old male Galah cockatoo, he came from a divorced couple. We owned cockatiels before but we also realize Cockatoos are quite something else.
Gizmo is a friendly and hand tame bird, also with strangers. He can be a bit nippy sometimes. The bites aren't painful but we try to discourage this behavior. I recently started with clicker training which he seems to enjoy. We also made a nice climbing tree for him which he can freely demolish while I'm doing my work. I work from home most days of the week so I have a plenty of time available for Gizmo.
We want to gather as much information as possible. I am looking forward to participating and exchanging experiences (I realize we might need advice at some point
).
