I have owned sun conures and green cheek conures. First one who managed to escape was my beloved sun conure Boo (who passed on quite a bit ago) he was gone for a couple days in the freezing cold weather. Boo didn't go far. I got him back. By not giving up. Calling his name until he flew in a small tree that I could climb in. Second bird was my green cheek conure Tsume. She was gone for a week and couple days. Tsume found a family a block away. Which I didn't know. Until I got a call back. From one of my flyers I hung up in many stores and businesses. Make sure to look around your place and any close neighbors near by. Conures are hardy birds. Alot of people don't give them credit. But, their strong of mind and body. To smart for their own good. Before I rescued Tsume and her daughter Firetail. The guy told me Firetail. Had flown the coop. Living wild for almost 2 months. Then he finally caught her. Good luck, I will pray you will get your bird back safe & sound :gcc: :gcc: :gcc: :gcc: :gcc:

As I said do not give up. With temperatures as cold as you said, I don't think the bird has gone very far, it just takes the will to keep looking, and to ask anyone in the area if they have seen or heard anything. Just don't give up !

Oh, indeed! Of course he should not give up! I did not mean my comment to mean that, only to mean that one should not trust the bird to come back on its own, one should be looking and looking and looking...
