Here's the top of his head. He has what I think are a small handful of pin feathers.

He's very fond of being upside down. I was trying to coax him out of the small cage and into the big one and he was having none of that, so we stopped trying and decided to have a snack with him instead. Of the plums, carrots and peas, he likes the pea pods best. He would watch us eat ours while I held a piece in my fingers close to him, and he'd very gingerly try it. If he only took one bite, we'd switch to a new food. He ate the pea pod VERY vigorously!

It looks to me like you have a very nice looking male Senegal Parrot to me. But a good frontal shot of him sitting on a perch would clinch it for me.

He spent a lot of time talking to me from this position.

Lots of little chirps and what sounds oddly like purring...

I let him be a couple times, trying not to rush him. He sat there and kept talking to me

Last picture for now. Finally coaxed him into his new home and he took a short nap. He's clicking his beak and exploring now. He seems VERY smart and a little quirky.

He is very beautiful and still looks, to me, like a male.

Oh, I forgot. His band is closed and says ABCA 2319 (ca is sideways). I'm searching for what it means still though.
