Welcome, Jadey, Lafayette, Dave and Iade! Liz is asking because, when it comes to budgies, three is a real bad number.

Maybe if they are all kept together. I have a pair of budgies and I plan on getting a third but it will be handfed and kept in a seperate cage.

Budgies are very flock oriented so keeping one by itself is really not recommended (too stressful for the poor, lonely thing) but, then, three is not a good number for budgies... would you consider getting two more?

who are you to judge if my bird is a 'poor lonely thing" ? When you nothing about the training or attention my family gives our birds. And not knowing us at all, without ever meeting us or seeing how we live. They all play together happily so they many not be kept together at night, but they spend a lot of time together with each other and with all of us.

Back off with the attitude. It is not needed in this forum.

Pajarita was telling you how this species of bird is like. No we do not know how you care for your birds. You may know something but that does not mean you know everything.
