Hello from the Hudson Valley!

Postby Joby7165 » Tue Nov 24, 2015 1:40 am

Hello all,
I'm Joe and I have a white Lutino cockatiel, Luna and Sasha a severe macaw in my family. Luna is quite the diva, very independent but affectionate when the mood hits her. Sasha is a sweet heart that spends most of the day on my shoulder. I have just paid to have a 4 month old green winged macaw seated and if female will be welcoming her to my family in a couple of months. I would love to get a gregarious male, the bigger the better but I'm concerned on how his personality may change 7 years down the road once he hits puberty so I think it would be best to adopt a female.

Welcome to the forum! I am a bit confused, do you have a lutino, an albino or a white cockatiel? As to the GW, they are actually quite gentle despite their size and not known for been hormonal birds so as long as you keep it to a solar schedule and don't free-feed a lot of high protein, you should be OK with either gender.

Sorry, it shows I have 30 birds, just 2 soon to be three, mistake, lol. Luna my cockatiel is a white Faced Lutino , forgot to add faced which is basically a white cockatiel,AKA albino but albino isn't really accurate since you can't breed an albino animal. I can't remember exactly how they're bred.
