But, didn't you say before that the owner said he had been doing it for a year? If that is the case, it's not because he doesn't see another bird now... Aside from that, one cannot use a day or two as proof of anything when it comes to symptoms or behaviors. And, at least in ekkies, sometimes, they only flick when they are sleeping and you might have missed it. Have you tried giving him milk thistle for his liver?

We dont have milk thistle here in my country :( also yes owner said that he has been flicking his wings for a year.. he is used to a flock of 6 other birds, could be that for some reason other birds make him nervous?. Vet already said he got no liver issues.. I said the thing about anxiety cause while im with him he eats he acts normal (eat, preens, drink water) as soon as he see me that i'm leaving he begins clowning around so that i pay attention to him and dont leave since he is now alone in the other room :/ even i think he feels frustrated when im not there as he throws the water bowl... Baylee doesnt do that cause she get my attention constantly.

Birds do not like being all alone it is highly stressful to them and in their natural environment a bird that is alone is a ready meal and does not survive for long. At least give it some toys and teach it to play with them and turn on some music for them. And don't forget to visit with them often.

Baylee is alone and doesnt mind it at all as long as i give her tons of attention... when i say alone i mean they dont have other birds, they have toys (which Baylee doesnt pay much attention to) I'm her favorite and biggest toy.

Yes, but Sammy started doing this when he had 5 more parrots with him so it's not the stress of loneliness that did it.

How did the vet determine that his liver is fine, Crazy4parrots? Didn't you say that they don't do bile acids tests there? Because, short of a biopsy, that's the only way you can tell how a bird's liver is doing -there is nothing else. Milk thistle Spanish name is cardo mariano and, although it's originally from Asia, it's cultivated in some South American countries -and one of them is Venezuela (the other two are Ecuador and Argentina).

Yes they dont do those tests here but she said bloodwork and chemestry panel are normal. In chemestry panel you can see if the liver is working normally or not its not exact but its something. Thats what vet said... Now i dont trust vets in my country and there is only 3 avian vets, i know all of them and this one is the one i trust more!
About the milk thistle they USED to sell it here but production stopped if you havent seen the news the country is going through a tough situation right now! You cant find dog/cat food nor peoples food i'm lucky enough my aunt in USA sent me food and the basic things in boxes... I did asked them for milk thistle a month ago but because its for birds they think its not important :( so they will send it to me but in February.. I have so many things for Baylee there at my sister's house but my mom doesnt want her to sent something that isnt considered important... Its very frustrating to live in this f***ing country and more frustrating is to have a family that doesnt understand that its important to have milk thistle around! :? :|

In fact country money reserves are considered that will last 15 DAYS! :o so things are ONLY getting worse not better! Saddly i need to stay here for the next 5 years to graduate from vet school.

From my medical books, they are avian medical books, liver function is reduced to about 25% before it shows up on a blood panel. So a blood test is not a good or reliable indicator of liver function.
Try telling them that the milk thistle is for both you and the bird.

That doesnt work my mom lives with me and she knows what meds i take and what i dont take :/ and even if my aunt sent it it takes 2 weeks by ship to get them here. My sister doesnt get it either someone from other forum sent me many things including milk thistle and DMG and tons of toys for Sammy & Baylee and my sister said "i dont get why she sents so many toys and things that humans cant use its pointless" :O i told my sister "well for you it might be pointless cause you are NOT a bird person, but its needed! When you have birds!" My mom decided she will pay for it in the beginning of February cause "she dont consider a bunch of toys & bird meds important :( " They consider it important if i were dying and needed a human med urgently. But since they are birds stuff they wont consider it important and my aunts might only take 1 toy (the smaller one) and say its too much because "its just a bird" :( :( :/ The things are in my sister house in FL.

Wolf is correct, the values in the chem panel are not liver specific and only register extensive damage to the organ, not malfunction, so saying that its liver is OK based on this is simply nothing more than wishful thinking. See if you can get extracto de raiz de diente de leon (this is a weed that grows all over the world so it's easy to find) or extracto de alcachofa (aka alcaucil). Look in herboristerias and homeopatias because they should have these things for people.
