Ok so i was at work talking tomy boss out of the nowhere he flew pretty closed to my head then he landed and seem to be pretty hungry and thirsty so i got closed to him put my finger near his chest and got right on it and climb to my shoulder i thought he was gonna flight away after resting but no i brought him home and feed him now my cuestion he has a leg band that says RAP 0198 is that the beeders name or the owner i know nothing about senegals and would like to do something for him/her

Thank you so much for taking him in! He would have died out there on its own. Now, RAP 0198 indicates the breeder and his/her identifying personal number - not the owner. Please go to parrot911, check for posters, ads in CL and the local paper and call vet offices, petstores and rescues to find out if anybody reported a lost senegal. We, bird people, get VERY attached to our birds and there is a brokenhearted owner somewhere nearby missing him. Plus, he is missing his human something terrible, too, because they get attached to us the same that we get attached to them.

In the meantime, please give him fruits and veggies as well as the seeds.

Right. And no mushrooms, parsley or spinach (these are not poisonous but they are very high in oxalic acid so, just to be safe), rhubarb, apple seeds, etc. (look in the diet section for good tips and recommendations).
