Salutations

Postby velmeezee » Thu Jun 02, 2016 2:50 am

Hello everyone, I'm Velmeezee from Northern California. I randomly came upon this site when I Googled parrot in apartment. This is the first parrot owner's forum I've joined, I hope my company will be appreciated. I am Mother to 3 beautiful human daughters, 2 fabulous male feline sons, 2 wonderful female canine daughters and 1 regal avian male son. He is my focus and purpose on this forum. I have plenty of people to chat with about humans, dogs and cats, but birds are not prevalent family members in my community. My Pooka is my BIRD, he's my baby, he's my boo boo, lol. But for real. He's my first personal experience with a parrot, and the for better far outweighs the for worse. Anyway, see yall in the threads! :gray: :D ;)

Welcome to the forum, I hope you like it here. Please tell us more, how old is your Grey? How long has he had you? Was his sex determined through DNA or what? We love hearing all about each other's birds and we love pictures and videos as well. If you like bragging and otherwise telling stories as well as learning more about your bird, this can be a great place to be.

Birds are so intelligent that they quickly train us to do what they want.

Rambo has such control of his vocabulary that sometimes we converse and I forget it is a bird I am talking with.

Welcome to the forum and brag on your baby as much as you want. We enjoy reading about other humans' kids.

Welcome to the forum, Velmeeze and Pooka! Yes, please, tells us more about him. Is he a Timneh and that's why you named him Pooka? I have a female Timneh which I was going to name Pooka (you know, because Timnehs are darker than Congos and the pookas been dark beings) but it ended up been Pookey :D
