I have renamed her conure outlaw....lol.....My daughter and family went camping and i went there hoouse to feed the parrots their raw food and nuts and seeds daily, change water, and spend time with them. They were all looking funny as i am sure they all felt abandoned and worried, but the Pois were great. The rescue Sengal came out of her cage and poked around all over her cage, and let me step her up. The Meyers was freindly and not only allowed me to step him up he would fly on to me wheneve I went in to the kitchen....lol....The conure was a brat....He was so fast he could dash out of the littlest opening in the door when I changed his water. Then he would not step up and would just fly away when i got close to him. He looked quite triumphant as he spent all day out of his cage doing anything he wanted to, and it took untill he got tired at night to put him in. By the third day, i figured out a way to keep him from getting out and it worked.....barely...lol....But he kept me hostage over there, so the name oulaw fits....lol

OOOOOH! You reminded me of when I was working, and wanted to take the bird out for a while before work (in the morning). Usually I could entice him back in the cage with a fresh jalapeno, but... not always!!!! It got to where I couldn't usually get him back in, and I had to be on time for work. So I had to quit taking him out. I would still sit by the cage and cuddle through the bars, and give treats, but... that was so sad. I'm glad it's no longer an issue.

In this case, Outlaw didnt even care about eating, I tried to entice him with pieces of nuts. Although once he manged to get in his cage and grab the nut piece and by the time i got there to shut the door, he had bolted back out. The bigger Pois often, chase him off toys, so that might have been a part of what was going on with him. It was pretty apparent being out was more important than eating much. At least they have a large smart TV, so i watched Breaking Bad again from the begininng, while i was being held hostage.....lol

Hello? I'm being held hostage by an Outlaw. Can I describe him? Well, about 7 inches tall, mostly green, and... hello? Hello?

 But it could also be 'mostly orange' if it's a sun conure or a sunday.

Ahhhhh, yeahhhhh... somehow I pictured a little Nanday stinker! I confess to having an unfair attitude towards them due to a Nanday I knew back home. He was kept fully flighted and absolutely ruled the roost with his antics. He would actually fly over and try to steal my hoop earrings!

Ummmmmmmm... sorry, I need coaching... what's a GGC?

I'm still pouting over the fact that "PC" usually refers to Painted Conures, not you-know-whos.
