Hello, Bird lovers :)

Greetings fellas!
I love parrots of all kinds.
I adopted two abused cockatiels who were kept in a very small cage and on a poor diet for about 2 years and developed behavioural problems. They were very afraid of humans. It took me a while before they fed from my hands. I was somewhat scared when i took them outside cage, as I didn't want to clip them. I had to use food to lure them back into the cage. But here comes the good part, they are completely tame now; they will step up, fly to me every time i enter the room and do simple tricks. I love kissing and petting them. Tom(one of the birds) preened my moustache today for the first time.

Welcome, Reshadray and tiels! We have a couple of members with beards and their birds also love their facial hair -they must think they are more normal than the rest of us because they also have 'feathers' in their faces What's the name of the other tiel?

Thanks Pajarita. The other tiel's name is Jerry (funny combo right? ) Yah, they like beards (I like your idea of feathered faces ). I have also seen parrots preen eyebrows and hair of their beloved human friend. My tiels have yet to preen my hair But I am very happy with beard preening as well
