I am beyond shocked. I've only chatted with him for about a year or so and I have to say he blew me away with his knowledge about birds. I had no idea what to do with my rescued Amazon George, he never made me feel foolish or inferior with all my crazy questions. He was a very patient, precise and kind man and his absence from this forum will be felt forever. Thank you Wolf and may you rest in peace. Jeanne and George :amazon:

I just saw this and I'm floored and shocked and really sad. Wolf helped me a lot, and he was just dedicated. I'm just speechless...

I am SUPER grateful to Michael for doing the transporting! I would have, eventually, found a way but it would have been real hard for me what with all my animals and taking care of my grandkids in the pm. But, of course I had to take them, there was no question about that! The plets both came to Wolf through me so, once Wolf was no longer with us, they kind of became my responsibility. I was the one that knew Paquita's (the female plet Wolf called Keeta) previous owners and who posted about trying to find a home for her when Wolf offered to come and pick her up (drove 9 hours each way to do that!). And then, because he couldn't find a male to adopt around him (my only condition was that she had to get a mate -you must all know how I feel about lone little ones...), I got the ex-breeder male and we each drove half-way so handsome Rajah could join Keeta. He couldn't keep them together but I will try again and will let you know. Poor little Harley is all by himself now but I already started looking for an older female for him... Now I have to get new cages for both pairs which will mean getting rid of an end table placed in front of a window where I have two beds for the cats (and that is not going to make my husband happy because the cats use those beds every day to look out the window :? )

Birds are moved and safe. I'll be posting more about it another day. It's been a long long day.

I feel responsible for Harley but he has been with the other birds longer than he was with me. To separate him now that Marley is gone would be cruel. I have become more withdrawn so Pajarita you have more opportunity than I to find him a friend. You have been in one place for a while and people know you and call you for help.

I had that in NC but I don't know anyone here.

Thank you both again.
