New & Looking For Bird Origin

Hello everybody my name is Roxann aka Heavens Helper. I recently purchased a green quaker parrot from my local pet shop in texas. It has a green band AU GIC 2008 710

I was wondering after searching on the net for what the AU means? Does that mean Austraila?
If not ... does anybody else have a suggestion?

I have sixteen cockatiels .. fifteen parakeets. I tame,handfeed and raise all my birds. I love them very very much. You can see some of their pictures at http://www.heavenshelpersonline.com

Thank you so much for your help Michael. I'm looking over the forum now. I hope I can find something to go on for sure. He's really sweet. He's fairly well mellow right now. He seems to have been handfed. He's not real jumpy and seems to fit in pretty darn good. Haven't got to pet him yet or mess with him hands on. It's just been two days. But he's doing really good for the transition.
