Hi,
My name is Rene and I live in the Netherlands. I got 5 birds, all birds except one are birds with a history.
Our first bird was Macha a female peach-faced lovebird, love at first sight during a visit at an emergency shelter for animals. Macha was found outside and not reclaimed by the owner. Second bird was japie a male cockatiel, great whistler and talker. Japie was also found outside...
The next bird was Jip, supposed to be a male peach-faced lovebird but turned out he was a she. Jip was on sale at ebay. If you get tired of it, you sell it
After a while Noppie also a male cockatiel came to visit, Noppie was caught at a fire station. Taken to an emergency shelter. Noppie was driving the people crazy with his yelling and screaming. All he wanted was some company and found a friend in Japie. Noppie died in may 2009.
We wanted a bigger parrot, and found a blackheaded caique named BamBam was for sale by owners, same old song. (no time, scared, ....)
Our last bird is Pruts a white female cocktiel to fill the gap left by Noppie...
All birds are (very) tame and spend a lot of time outside their cages.
The lovebirds are clipped.
The cockatiels are able to fly
The blackheaded caique is mildy clipped (caiques are terrible flyers)
