New to the forum, new to the parrots

Hi everyone,

Im Sanja (Sanya) from Canada, just graduated university. As a graduation present my boyfriend bought me a Green Cheek Conure, and we named him Ryo. He is about 5 months old, and a misguided sweetheart. He is molting and so he is very moody right now, and of course as I hear its common for conures, he is nippy and likes to bite.

When I was younger, I had a wild budgie that just flu in on my balcony one day, we caught him and took care of him. He was great, although he did not interact too much with humans. After that experience I love birds and always wanted to get one. But now that I got Ryo, I realized that I have so much to learn about parrots in general, and I hope you guys will guide me through!

I am have only recently joined too, and have a senegal parrot named Jeeves!
Ryo sounds like a legend, what a great present to be given!!
Hope that you find all you need on the site as I have found that there are lots of people willing to help!!
I have been asked to put some photos up of Jeeves but havent had much luck, my pictures seem to be invalid, but im sure ill sort it out!, hope that you have better luck than i did with the pictures!

Welcome! Do you have any pictures of Ryo? I just love GCCs, they're such clowns!
