Hello, I'm new to the forum from San Diego

Postby Equuswmn » Thu Jul 22, 2010 3:43 pm

Hi, my name is Yvette and I just wanted to say hello and thank you for this forum. I have 8 cockatiels in an indoor/outdoor aviary (one of them was born on Father's Day in the aviary and just fledged the nest on Monday). I am also awaiting a baby Senegal Parrot I've named Lola to finish weaning herself before she comes home. She is such a little character and I just love her. I've attached a picture of her below which was taken last week during one of our visits. The picture quality isn't that great since it was taken with my cell phone. I love all the information on this site especially on Senegal's and wanted to say thank you.

Lola looks like a sweetheart!
My boy is down to only 1 feeding a day now & should be coming home next week!
I bet you are as inpatient as I am while awaiting your new little 'fid!

Thank you so much! And Lola is down to one feeding a day too and I can't wait for her to come home but of course only when she's 100% ready. I will attach pictures of my tiels in their aviary very soon. For now, here is the month old baby who just fledged the nest. He or she is from first time parents and they are doing a great job raising baby. Mom is already sitting on 4 more eggs. They grow up so fast :cockatiel:

Very cute!!

I've been keeping a keen eye on my 'Lets as my female is starting to show signs of potentially laying eggs soon!It is her first time so I'm not expecting too much from her but it is still quite exciting!
