Newbie:) from New Brunswick, Canada

Postby babydoll101 » Tue Aug 03, 2010 6:05 pm

Hey everyone,
I'm a newbie here but not with birds. I have a crimson bellied conure, cockatiel and a lovebird. Soon to be getting another lovebird which will be from the same parents as my lovebird now. Don't worry they will be in seperate cages and will never breed:D I love my fids. I spend all my spare time with them. I also have one siamese kitten, a cute pooch (part poodle and terrier) and 4 children!!! We have a very busy house.
Can't wait to meet all of you!

Welcome to the forum! I think you'll enjoy it here!

You'll need to post pictures of your birds when you get a chance.

There is quite a large parrot community in Canada, but in Ontario anyways, I find we all travel in pretty small circles. Some examples:

1. Natacha, another member on this forum lives in Ontario and she knows some of the people that I have met that the local parrot club. And her male and female red bellied parrots are siblings to my female red bellied Lucy.

2. Again, Natacha referred me to Cory, the girl I'm adopting my Meyers Kylie from. I was just at a store called Parrotdise Perch in Mississauga, Ontario the other day and the owner knows Cory. I was also able to add Natacha as a referrer at Parrotdise Perch, because she has also been a customer at the same store ... even though she doesn't live in the same city.

3. Several of the people I have met online and in the area will be attending the Guelph Parrot Conference in November.

There may be many of us, but its a small parrot world :)
