Parrot Prayers Please

Postby captwest » Tue Aug 31, 2010 6:25 pm

Looking bad for us here with the hurricane leaning to the west, I'm not to sure about what to do with my breeder amazons ( two pair on eggs due to hatch any day) . Fla. breeders i've talked to have had bad experiences packing breeders into smaller cages and relocating them , and sugguest something less traumatic, we,ll do the best we can and try to make all the right decisions. Our pets will be OK, they're used to traveling with us and can handle stress ok if we're with them. We and the others here on the outer banks of nc could use a little prayer please. thanks Richard/Josie and the rest of the flock. life's a beach

That's scary! I hope it doesn't hit hard and that everyone is okay!

Where about are you located again? My step-daughter is in Florida right now flying home tomorrow and it looks like she'll get out unaffected.

One of our offices is located in Puerto Rico and they're in lock down right now due to Earl.

Good luck with everything. We feel very fortunate to live in a pretty neutral part of the world when it comes to natural disasters. I feel enough stress every day without worrying about hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, tornados, etc.

Thanks everyone, hoping Earl stays to the east of us and dosn't come ashore, still we'll have to deal with alot of high water, today we're moving boats and cars about 45 miles inland, closest higher ground, busy boy RW and the rest of the flock

thanks evryone, looks like Earl is starting to move away, winds about 50-70 now but becoming more NW as storm moves away, water is coming back in and we'll have to watch it closely , we know it will flood but don't know how high it will get, however the son is coming op which always makes things better and we still have power which is areal blessing. Interesting observation, the wild caught birds seem to stress more over the weather than the others! THanks everyone for your prayers RW and the Flock
