Hi from Vancouver, BC!

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member.

My name is Lisa and I live in Vancouver, BC with my husband and my Pacific Parrotlet; she is the beautiful pastel yellow mutation. She is stubborn, wilful and lively, but she is the cuddliest and sweetest little thing I've ever known... when she wants to be!

I've been reading this forum and watching Kili and Truman's videos online for a long time now, but was waiting to join up until I brought my little parrotlet home. She is my first parrot. I've had a budgie in the past. (Along with many other kinds of furred and scaled little monsters.)

I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone and sharing questions, answers, and experiences!

Hi there from the same place! Parrotlets are so cute and clever. Have you seen The Parrotlet Handbook? It's by Mattew M. Vriends, it's thicker than a normal Barron's book, and has lots of really good photos and info. Barron's is the publisher. I have a bit of a collection of their books, including two editions of the Conure one, because they updated the text and put in all new photos, so I couldn't resist.

Anyhow, just thought you might be interested.

UGH! I still don't know exactly. He hatched on June 14 so he should be good to go any day now....I almost went out a bought senegal at a pet store the other day!!!

resist the temptation!! he will be here before you know it!! by the end of the month or mid october he should arrive... i don't see him weaning for more then 4 months.

You know I need another bird like I need another hole in my head, but I have always wanted one of the sweet looking little parroletts. Are they as sweet as they look?
