Apologies to you and Jake, my calling her a guy. How cute to call her Jake! Or do you pronounce it differently (Jackie)? Don't you think your relationship with your birds keeps you young and happy? For me, time with Goose is the best of the days.

i thought she was a he, til she laid an egg!!!! we've been though so much together, a whole lifetime with all it's ups and downs, dut there's nothing like the unconditional love of a bird like Jake, i do break down and call her Jakiepoo at quiet times like preening in the AM

39 years! That is remarkable! I'll bet it doesn't seem that long. Their influence on our personalities can be impressive. This might sound crazy but I am inspired to be a better person as a result of Goose's pleasant personality and dignified carriage, and also, comparatively speaking, his contentment with such simple pleasures in his life. He also reminds me of the quote that one member has with their postings about people not remembering what you say or do but remembering how you make them feel. This is one place where I can write/say this and know there are others who have experienced the same.

There is probably a place here where ya'll have posted about that. I am still reading this sites' "archives".
