Hello

Postby Tinker2 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 6:14 pm

Hi, My name is Cece and I have 4 birds.Well I have two(2 greencheeks) and my 9yo son has two(a budgie and a tiel) but I help with the care of his birds as well.
I recently, this last Friday adopted a cinnamon Greencheek and named it Tinker. She is 2yo and not in the best shape. All her tail feathers are plucked and her wings are clipped so short she falls like a rock. She only eats seeds and grapes. I think I have my hands full with this one and might need lots of help as we go along. So far she has accepted a small piece of grape from my hand so Im hoping she will tame down fast.
Ive also recently started clicker training my older adopted greencheek. She is 11yo and hates me.Ive had her three years and have made only minimal progress with her so Im hoping clicker training might work better. I have joined a bird clicker training message board as well.
Hope to get lots of info and help here.

Good luck with your flock! It is very hard to tame a bird that is not tame to start with. Just keep trying. And welcome to the fourm.
