Thanks for the welcome Richard

I never really knew I had a "knack" for rescued birds but I wouldnt have it any other way now!
I love working with them and getting a very rewarded ending out of them.
Some friends that havent talked to me in awhile and come over dont even think that Herbie and Gort are the same birds! They have transformed SO MUCH since I had them and they turned around very quickly which has stunned alot of bird people.
I am always getting called by the bird club in Anchorage - here in Alaska

because not a whole lot of people want to work with "large, loud, problem birds". I've gone out on alot of "missions" to check out these birds, analyze them and work with them. And in a matter of a few days or a few short 2 or so weeks, I've turned these birds around and they are truely amazing now.
Everyday when I am with Herbie and Gort it still stuns me to know that they used to be "problem birds", and now you'd never even notice! After finishing my Avian Science courses, I may start rescueing birds, rehabilitating them and rehoming them to people who are bird fanatics too

But all in good time!
I checked out your post too. Great looking birds! I also unlocked the video's of Herbie so everyone can see them now. He's quite the talker. This was before he was "friendly". He only recently (in October) started letting me pet him and interact and handle him like I do now. I believe the main purpose was his Blue & Gold Macaw "girlfriend" that he was bonded to. Neither of them would allow eachother to have human interaction. But after she started allowing me to handle her and was "rehabilitated", she was rehomed to an experienced bird person and is now very happy with her new family!
