I'm owned and operated by a little Senegal witchling called "Paquet",a.k.a." Pecky" or "Hey You!".
She'll turn 3 yrs in Jan'11 and has been with me since she was about 11 weeks old.She was clipped when I got her but with lots of "flapcercises" was flying fully aerobatic by Xmas '08. She only
sleeps in her cage and flies free until she gets back in her cage at bed time.
To avoid misunderstandings afew words about my situation.I am 67,single,retired and live by my self.I'm 90% disabled for walking due to serious injuries and arthritis in both feet but I can get
around my apt.O.K. Before retirement I was on disability. No car,get around town on bicycle or
moped (special backpack for Paquet). If needed a few friends will drive me for just gasmoney.
From start of research till Paquet came 'Home' took about a year Mar.07- Apr.08. By now Paquet
has become the centre of my Universe: a one person bird with a one bird person.
I'm a "computer imbicile" And my comp. is old and has alzheimers,my typespeed is in mins/word.
I'll post more about Paquet and me in parrot tales, once I figure out how everything works.
My respect to Michael for organizing the friendliest, most informative Forum I've found on the net
and all the posters/members for keeping it that way.
