greetings from maryland

On Labor Day Sunday my husband and I headed north to pick up our new family member, a greenwing macaw. i am so excited i have always wanted a large bird and now that my kids are all in college i have the time! I am sure i will be lurking on this forum a lot! he is 13 yrs old and was hand raised by his current owner. Im sure it will take some time to build a relationship with us, thank goodness im a patient person!

Hello and welcome to the forum, I'm on the east coast also, tho a little south of you. How are things working out with your new greenwing? i had one as a kid and really miss him.Has he taken over the house yet? please post some pics.
