Hey! Welcome to the forum. It's nice to meet you and Tambo.
Here are some instructions for posting an avatar picture (like in the left margin):

To post a picture on the forum from a URL or link, you need to learn a little bit about what is called BBCode. This link offers an explanation:

But basically, when you are creating a topic or a reply to a topic, above where you type your message text into are some "buttons" or "boxes" with different words on them. Look for the one that says "Img" and click on it. When you do, you'll notice that it inserts something into the text box. What you need is the URL or link to the picture you want to post and you insert it in between the brackets of the IMG and /IMG.
If you don't have a URL or link for the picture, you can upload it from your computer files. You have to go below where you type your message and look for where it says "Upload attachment". All you do there is find it on your computer with the browse button and then click "add the file". Hope this helps you and can't wait to see a picture of your feathered cutie!
